Faith, Culture & History

In Celebration of Islam in America a Moorish Perspective

January 8th is the day which Moorish Americans around the country celebrate our beloved Prophet Noble Drew Ali. We welcome you to join us in the New Year to be Informed, Educated and Uplifted as we take you on an insightful journey of the Moorish American Faith, Culture & History through music, visual presentation and open dialog while enjoying a delicious meal. There will be a panel discussion with various members of the Moorish Islamic community and invited guest.

Date: January 6th (Saturday), 2018

Time: 2:30pm – Ends 4:00pm

Location: Downtown Decatur Recreation Center 231 Sycamore St.(Next to Downtown Decatur Library)

Parking: Is free use the Downtown Decatur Library parking deck and simply walk over next door.

Donation Registration Fee: $10 required, RSVP. We ask that you RSVP as we will need an accurate count for the caterer. Children Free.
